Creating clean, green and sustainable campus is not enough by providing material, seminar and shout to apply this regard. Postgraduate program of University of Brawijaya (UB) intends to directly implement Eco campus by practice rather than theory. UB’s Eco Campus implementation wrapped in an event titled the 34th Postgraduate Program Anniversary healthy walking that organized on Sunday (28/Feb/2016) in front of UB’s Postgraduate Program parking area.
By healthy walking, it is not only event’s excitement to be highlighted, but also Eco Campus implementation. For instance, a rare tree planting so-called kepel tree by UB’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS and also Durian tree planting by PPS UB’s Head, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hakim. M.Si. In addition, injection wells placard signing that built in PPS UB’s area and distribution jackfruit tree into each faculty at UB.
Eco Campus implementation by PPS UB is not only by plunge into the world but also providing award for written-idea competition winner titled Eco Campus. Agung Setia Abadi, FPIK UB’s student with the work titled “Tofu Sewage Treatment as Tilapia Fish Feed” becomes the best in the competition.
Abdul Hakim hopes that each faculty at UB track the PPS UB by directly implement Eco Campus at the ground thus UB’s Eco Campus implementation could be accomplished immediately and creating new innovations in maintenance and utilization of environment in order to support UB’s eco campus.
