Electrical Engineering Department Trains IT-Based Educational Media Applications at KH Mas Mansyur Boarding School

 

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, the Community Service Team from the Electrical Engineering Department of FTUB conducted a training session on IT-Based Educational Media Applications using Canva at MCC-LKSA PA KH MAS MANSYUR, located on Sulfat Street, Malang.

The event was led by Ir. Unggul Wibawa, MSc, and included other team members such as Ir. Wijono, MT, Ph.D, Ir. Teguh Utomo, MT, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rini Nur Hasanah, ST, MSc. IPU, ASEAN Eng, Waru Djuriatno, ST, MT, Dr. Tri Nurwati, ST, MT, and Indra Setiawan, ST.

Teknik Elektro Latih Aplikasi Media Pembelajaran Berbasis IT di Panti AsuhanSeveral Electrical Engineering students were also involved in the activity, including Dwi Andika Valent, Althair Mahatirta, Danar Akbar, and Naufal Hilmiy.

The training took place at KH MAS MANSYUR Orphanage, which provides care for orphaned children from preschool to high school. This activity aimed to enhance the children’s knowledge, skills, and understanding in utilizing and developing IT-based educational media.

The training covered topics such as Digital Marketing, which provided basic knowledge on digital marketing; Digital Video, which trained participants to create digital videos independently.

Additionally, the participants were taught how to use Canva, which improved their design skills, and Personal Branding, which emphasized the importance of building self-confidence and personal branding to increase the potential for success.

Penyerahan Hibah ke Panti AsuhanThe training began with a Pre-Test to assess the participants’ initial knowledge level and concluded with a Post-Test to evaluate their knowledge improvement. To ensure the material was easily understood, the training was also supplemented with various exercises, practical sessions, and relevant games.

At the end of the event, the team presented a 3-in-1 printer as a donation to support the daily activities at KH MAS MANSYUR Orphanage. The donation was received directly by Mr. Endarto, the Head of the Orphanage.

“We hope that even though these children live in an orphanage, they should still have the same opportunities to gain knowledge and skills that can boost their confidence and abilities,” said Ir. Unggul Wibawa on behalf of the team. (mic)
