Agrisolute Indonesia, a technology startup built by a team of students from Universitas Brawijaya, successfully held a soft launch of its flagship product, SYMINIC (System Mini Aeroponic) at Malang Creative Center (MCC) on Saturday (9/28/2024). This event was enthusiastically welcomed by various groups ranging from government agencies, agricultural activists, to industry players.
SYMINIC presents as an innovative solution in facing the challenges of modern agriculture in the digital era, especially in Indonesia as an agricultural country. This product combines Internet of Things (IoT) technology with a vertical farming system, in order to increase agricultural productivity on limited land.
In his presentation, the CEO of Agrisolute Indonesia, Stanislaus Glorius Vigo Angeswara, said that SYMINIC is a smart technology product designed to maximize the efficiency of the aeroponic farming system. This system utilizes advanced features that function automatically to support the optimization of plant growth. Some of the superior features of SYMINIC include, Smart Light Monitor, Mini Aeroponic System Plant, and Smart Nutrition Monitor.
He explained that Smart Light Monitor is an aeroponic planting technology designed to reduce root rot, while increasing the efficiency of narrow land use.
Mini Aeroponic System Plant, is a system that ensures plants get ideal lighting through grow lights, so that they can support maximum plant growth. And Smart Nutrition Monitor is a feature that monitors the nutrients given to plants, including watering times, water temperature, and nutrient availability. Through this monitoring system, plants can grow faster and healthier without the risk of nutrient deficiency or excess.
“All features are connected to a mobile application that makes it easy for users to monitor plant conditions in real-time. Thus, farmers can get accurate data and analysis regarding the condition of their plants anytime and anywhere,” said Agrosolute COO Ferdiansyah Putra Pratama.
The SYMINIC soft launching event was also attended by representatives from various agencies, including the Malang Regency Bappeda, the Malang Regency Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantation Service, and the Malang City Food Security and Agriculture Service. Moreover, PERHINDO (Indonesian National Hydroponic Association) and various agricultural communities and industry players also attended the event. They expressed their appreciation for Agrisolute’s efforts in creating modern agricultural solutions that are relevant to current conditions.
In his remarks, the COO of Agrisolute, said that Agrisolute Indonesia started from a simple idea which then developed into a real product through team collaboration. He said that their innovation was very appropriate when participating in the Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities, where they saw firsthand the problems faced by farmers, especially related to the declining interest of the younger generation in the agricultural sector.
“Indonesia has extraordinary land wealth, but unfortunately much land has been converted due to the lack of interest of the younger generation in working on the agricultural sector,” said Ferdi. “We felt the need to do something, and that’s where the idea to create SYMINIC was born,” he said.
Through SYMINIC, Agrisolute hopes to spur innovation in agriculture while paving the way for smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable agriculture. SYMINIC technology is also expected to attract the interest of the younger generation to return to the agricultural sector by presenting modern agriculture that is more practical and productive.
In the future, Agrisolute Indonesia plans to expand the reach of SYMINIC products not only nationally, but also globally. By carrying the slogan #MajuBersamaPetaniIndonesia, Agrisolute believes that collaboration between technology and agriculture can bring about major changes in improving food security and community welfare, especially farmers.
