Universitas Brawijaya (UB) through the International Relation Office (IRO) of the Faculty of Law (FH UB) in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM): International Syariah Odyssey Hujjah Club, held a Student Mobility Program activity. This event took place from July 27-31, 2024 at the Faculty of Law UB, Malang-Indonesia.
This activity was attended by approximately 45 students from both universities which aimed to strengthen academic and cultural relations between the two higher education institutions. In addition, this program also focuses on developing an understanding of sharia and Islamic law in an international context.
This event was officially opened on (29/7/2024), in the Auditorium on the 6th floor of A Building, FH UB with a series of speeches and seminar materials that provided in-depth insights into sharia law.
Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muktiono, S.H., M.Phil., in his speech said that this activity aims to broaden horizons and build international networks.
“This activity is a very valuable opportunity for students to not only broaden their academic horizons, but also to build strong international networks. Hopefully this program can continue and provide great benefits for both parties,” said Muktiono.
During the five days of implementation, the participants took part in various activities such as panel discussions, workshops, and visits to historical sites and several legal institutions in Malang. They also had the opportunity to present their research results and participate in cultural activities.
This activity not only strengthens the relationship between Universitas Brawijaya and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, but also provides an opportunity for students to understand more deeply about the dynamics of sharia law in the two countries.
