Socialization on Teaching Campus Program Batch I 2021

The Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture carried out the Socialization of the Teaching Campus Program Batch I 2021 on Saturday (13/2/2021).
This socialization was carried out online through Zoom and broadcasted live on the Kemendikbud Youtube channel.
This socialization event was filled by Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P. who is the Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education.
Beside that, there are also Prof. Aris Junaidi, Ph.D., who is the Director of Learning and Student Affairs at the Directorate General of Higher Education.
In her presentation, Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P. explained the meaning of Teaching Campus.
The Teaching Campus is one of the independent campus activity programs. In this program, lecturers, staff, students from the Higher Education contribute, make changes, develop themselves, adapt to technology and be creative.
The activities of Independent Campus are teaching at schools, internships, projects in villages, student exchanges, research, entrepreneurship, independent projects, and humanitarian projects, one of which is a teaching program in schools.
The teaching program at school is to invite students to actively engage in the world of education by imparting knowledge to younger students at the elementary school level (SD) with a focus on schools located in the 3T (disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost) areas in Indonesia.
In this program, selected students will be guided by one field supervisor.
There are many benefits that will be obtained by students in participating in the teaching activities at school, including a conversion of 12 credits, a certificate of appreciation, an allowance of Rp. 700,000 per month and a maximum UKT discount of Rp. 2,400,000, – for one time.
Paristiyanti also hopes that this program can increase the competence of graduates in schools both in soft skills and hard skills so that they are more ready and relevant to the needs of the times.
Second, to increase a sense of social care for students, lecturers, education staff and higher education institutions, to work together to advance education during a pandemic.
In addition, students are able to bring out creativity, leadership traits and attitudes to develop themselves through this Teaching Campus.
The second material was delivered by Prof. Aris Junaidi, Ph.D. namely the Teaching Campus Program which is more detailed than the first material, where this program has been fully supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture and LPDP.
The Ministry of Education and Culture provides assistance in program implementation, and facilitates program implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
