LPPM-UB holds “Socialization of Research Performance Data Collection and Community Service in Universitas Brawijaya 2020”
One of the annual routine agendas of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) is to report on the performance of research and community service (PPM) through SIMLITABMAS Ristekdikti. In order to support the documentation of PPM activities in Universitas Brawijaya (UB), LPPM-UB took the initiative to carry out the activity “Socialization of Research Performance and Community Service Data Collection 2020” on Tuesday-Thursday (09-11 / 02/2021). The activity was carried out virtually with the stakeholders of the ranking data, quality assurance and management of research and community service activities at the faculty level.
Before the issuance of the letter of request for filling in performance data from Ristekdikti, UB through LPPM has coordinated with faculty leaders to jointly input data on the implementation of internal research and service activities in each faculty. The mechanism is, each faculty will appoint three performance input officers on the LPPM website in an integrated way. Furthermore, the LPPM input officer will validate and input it to Simlitabmas.
By this socialization, it is expected that there will be a real picture of research activities and community service in UB so that they can be photographed properly. “The portrait of a real picture is not fixated on the purpose of the ranking but in determining future steps towards policy making related to research and community service,” concluded the Head of LPPM UB, Dr. Ir. Bambang Susilo., MSc., Agr.
In this activity, a description of last year’s data with targets for 2021 was presented. The head of LPPM UB also explained about the process of Research Performance Data Input and Verified Service Performance Data Input. As a follow-up to this event, on February 16, 2021, there will be training activities for faculty input officers.
LPPM UB invites all UB academicians who have carried out research and service activities, to immediately report the results in 2020 through their respective BPPM faculties with detailed supporting data that has been explained. With the spirit of togetherness, valid data will be used not only for ranking but also for the need of policy making in order to improve the achievements of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities.
