Bina Desa HIMATITAN held a socialization and utilization activity for Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) to PKK and KWT Women of Jatisari Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency, Saturday (10/5/2024) to improve the quality of ginger powder drink products so that they are better known to the wider community, especially in the packaging used for marketing.
In the socialization for PKK and KWT Women of Jatisari Village, they were introduced to the definition of TOGA, various types of plants that can be used as TOGA, the benefits of ginger plants, the process of packaging ginger powder, and also the process of marketing the ginger powder.
In the socialization material, in addition to being introduced to the benefits of ginger plants, PKK and KWT women together with Agricultural Industrial Technology (TIP) students also packaged ginger into new packaging that had been made by Agricultural Industrial Technology (TIP) students.
PKK women in Jatisari Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency were also introduced to various platforms for marketing ginger powder products, such as marketplaces, social media, and websites.
After the socialization material was completed, participants were given the opportunity to take a post-test. This post-test not only aims to test understanding, but also strengthen their skills in applying the techniques that have been taught.
“We really appreciate the Family Medicinal Plant Socialization and Utilization (TOGA) activity carried out together with PKK women and the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Jatisari Village. This program provides very useful knowledge for our community about how to utilize medicinal plants around the house to maintain family health. I hope that after this socialization, mothers can be more active in practicing and developing the use of TOGA, so that they can improve the welfare and health of the village community,” said Baihaqi as the Head of Jatisari Village when conveying his impressions and messages.
This moment is a sign of appreciation for the commitment and active participation of PKK women in supporting the development of superior village products. It is hoped that with the knowledge that has been obtained, PKK women in Jatisari Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency can continue to innovate and raise ginger powder products of Jatisari Village to a higher level.
