The Directorate of Cooperation and Internationalization of Brawijaya University (UB) held a socialization of the Lecturer Work (Dokar) and Sabbatical Leave program for all lecturers and study programs (prodi). This activity is a socialization program to provide funding to lecturers who will collaborate with foreign partners. The activity was carried out online on (14/3/2024) and was attended by 227 participants.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Internationalization, Andi Kurniawan S.Pi., M.Eng. D.Sc said that this program is one of UB’s priority programs as a form of effort to improve its reputation in the international arena.
“With this program, UB can be known by foreign partners and provide opportunities for collaboration,” he explained.
He also explained that the target to be achieved was to facilitate lecturers to be active with overseas partners in carrying out various collaborative activities.
In addition, this program can help UB achieve the 6th Key Performance Indicator (IKU).
“I hope that the main objective of allocating funds for Dokar can be achieved well,” he said.
In her report, Pantri Muthriana Erza Killian, S.IP., M.IEF., Ph.D explained that there were several changes in the Dokar program.
The changes are the existence of priority partners which are partners who have previously or will collaborate with UB, Scheme A program which targets collaboration with universities which have a QS 200 ranking by subject and Scheme B which is non-PT outside QS 200 by subject, countries included in D8, and partners included in IKU 6.
“There is no blacklisting carried out, only study program that have not completed the output of last year’s activities cannot submit proposals again,” he said.
Dr. Eng. Ir. Oke Oktavianty, S.Si., MT explained material regarding Sabbatical Leave, which is a program for lecturers to stay abroad for one to three months to collaborate with foreign partners in accordance with the tridharma of higher education.
The collaboration that can be carried out is joint research and publication, teaching abroad, industrial/institutional internships, and the development of applied or artistic works.
“Requirements for lecturers who can undertake Sabbatical Leave are active lecturers with NIDN, at least a doctorate with 15 years of service, a minimum functional position of lecturer, obtaining permission from the faculty, and having LoA from the partner,” he said. (FHN/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
