UPT International Academic Affairs/ International Office Universitas Brawijaya (IAA UB) held a German scholarship seminar, Friday (10/25/2024). The activity, which was held in the Meeting Room on the 8th floor of the Rectorate, was filled by DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Regional Office Jakarta, and invited UB students who wanted to continue their studies or research in Germany.
The event with the theme “DAAD Info Session: Study and Research in Germany and DAAD Funding Opportunities” was attended directly by the Director of the DAAD Regional Office Jakarta, Dr. Guido Schnieders who was also a resource person.
Head of UPT IAA Dr. Didik Hartono, S.S., M.Pd when opening the event said that the seminar and info session activities provide great benefits for students, especially those who want to continue their studies in Germany.
“Info sessions like this are very good and must be held periodically so that our students also have sufficient information regarding how to continue their studies in the future,” he said.
Dr. Guido said that DAAD offers two programs that can be followed by students, namely Individual Scholarships and Project Funding. In addition, he explained that DAAD can facilitate students for master’s programs with a concentration in MIPA, research grants, and so on.
At the end of the event, one of the participants said that this activity was very insightful for students, especially those who are interested in study opportunities and scholarships in Germany.
