Beswan Djarum Malang together with the Directorate of Student Affairs, Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held the Djarum Plus Scholarship Goes to Campus activity. This activity was held on the 8th Floor of the Rectorate Building (25/04/2024).
In his speech, the event coordinator, Zaki Salman expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm of UB students in participating in the Djarum Goes to Campus Scholarship. He said the purpose of holding this event was as a form of service to the alma mater and to help juniors recognize the Djarum scholarship.
“The aim of this socialization is that students can prepare themselves early on in taking part in the upcoming scholarship selection,” he said.
Chairman of Beswan Malang for the 2023/2024 period, Muhammad Fadli Hasan, said that the benefits received by students receiving the Djarum scholarship are not small. Besides receiving tuition assistance for one year, scholarship recipients also receive soft skills training.
“Scholarship recipients also have the opportunity to take part in international exposure for approximately 3 months,” said the FILKOM student.
Head of the Sub-Directorate for Student Welfare and Entrepreneurship at UB, Ilhamuddin, S.Psi., M.A., expressed his support for this activity so that UB students can get scholarships from Djarum Foundation, moreover scholarship recipients get various training which is very useful for students.
“We will fully support this activity by providing various facilities for holding activities,” he said.
The lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) hopes that UB students who receive scholarships can create innovative scientific work so that it can be used as a book to support references.
“I hope that students who pass the selection can create a joint project, just between UB students, to create a book. Later we will take care of the publication,” he hoped.
There are 19 UB students who have passed the Djarum Plus scholarship in 2023 and this is the largest number in Malang region. (FRHN/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
