Faculty of Social and Political Science Universitas Brawijaya (FISIP UB) received a visit from Al-Ma’hadul Islami Senior High School, Thursday (5/10/2020). Visit is conducted online using zoom meeting platform.
The activity was opened with remarks from the Principal of Al-Ma’hadul Islami Senior High School, Dr. Abdul Mukmin., Mpdl.
“The purpose of this visit is to establish friendship between Al-Mahadul Islami Senior High School and UB. Besides that, we want to get clear and valid information about UB, especially FISIP. We hope that this year many of our students will enter UB, “said Abdul.
Abdul said that the students can get complete information with this visit about the superior programs, uniqueness, characteristics, and about how to get into UB through SNMPTN and SBMPTN. “This visit is important for students who are still lay, who do not have a definite view of continuing their studies after high school. So, before they determine the destination university, information is needed from the lecturers for our students, “he added.
This visit received a warm welcome from the Dean of FISIP UB, Dr. Sholih Mu’adi, SH., M.Si.
“FISIP will be more open to Islamic boarding schools because scholarships have been provided that allow the Islamic boarding schools to distribute, for example the tahfid scholarships which are focused on Islamic boarding schools,” said Sholih.
The material about FISIP UB was delivered by the coordinator of the data and information system of PSIK FISIP UB, Wifka Rahma Syauki, S.I.Kom., M.Si. The material explained about the details of FISIP UB which includes study programs, campus facilities, student sovereignty institutions, associations, semi-autonomous institutions (LSO), scholarships.
Other information that was conveyed was regarding the student admission through SNMPTN, SBMPTN, and Independent. In addition, he also explains about UKT (Single Tuition Fee) which consists of groups one to six from each study program.
If the visit is carried out directly, students can see the FISIP UB building which consists of A, B, and C Buildings. Unfortunately, this has to be replaced by watching a video of FISIP UB.
