The Vocational Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has reaffirmed its commitment to support the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program through the implementation of a series of Teaching Practitioner activities in various study programs. This program is a form of collaboration between lecturers and industry practitioners, which aims to provide learning that is more applicable and relevant to the needs of the world of work.
Deepening Digital Media in the Graphic Design D-IV Study Program
The Graphic Design D-IV Study Program of Vocational Faculty UB is carrying out Teaching Practitioner activities by collaborating with Brilian Yusuf Rohmat Akbar, S.Kom., a creative and digital industry practitioner.
This activity took place over six meetings, from April to June 2024 at the Creative and Digital Industry Laboratory Building.
The second semester students, with high enthusiasm, studied PowerPoint design, design mockups using the Photoshop application, and animation creation techniques.
The consultation sessions provided an opportunity for students to interact directly with practitioners, deepening their understanding and skills in the field of graphic design.
Introduction to Taxation in the Finance and Banking Study Program
Meanwhile, the Finance and Banking Study Program held a Teaching Practitioner in the Introduction to Taxation course taught by Mrs. Amelia Ika Pratiwi, SE., MSA., Ak.
Practitioner lecturer Mr. Garfild F.O Posumah, SE., SH., MH., MM., a tax consultant, provided relevant and applicable knowledge to students. This program helps students understand the concept of taxation through direct experience, build professional networks, and improve their competence to face the world of work.
The Practitioner Teaching activity at the UB Vocational Faculty shows a strong synergy between academics and practitioners, providing holistic education that is in accordance with the needs of the world of work.

Collaboration in the D3 Information Technology Study Program
The D3 of Information Technology Study Program Vocational Faculty UB implements the Teaching Practitioner Program through the Front End Programming (JavaScript) course. This activity involves practitioner Mr. Wiwied Sulistyono, a web developer with more than 10 years of experience.
