Preparing for Prospective Professional Advocates, FH Holds PKPA

FH UB and PERADI Hold Special Education Activities for Advocate Profession (PKPA) in 2024

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FHUB) in collaboration with the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) held a Special Education for Advocate Profession (PKPA) activity. This event took place from August 3 to September 14, 2024, attended by around 35 participants who were interested in becoming professional advocates.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, Dr. Aan Eko, S.H., M.Hum., in his remarks at the PKPA activity in the Auditorium on the 6th floor of A Building, FH UB said that PKPA is very much needed for prospective advocates.

“PKPA is an important step in preparing prospective advocates to face challenges in the legal world. We are committed to providing the best education so that they are professionally and ethically prepared to carry out their duties as advocates,” he said.

This activity presents various experienced speakers from academics and legal practitioners. The General Chairperson of PERADI, Dian Aminudin, S.H., M.H., also shared his views in the opening session.

“This collaboration with FHUB is very important for the development of advocate competence in Indonesia. We hope that PKPA participants can apply the knowledge they have gained with full integrity and professionalism,” said Dian.

Over the next six weeks, participants will take part in various intensive training sessions covering various aspects of law, including civil, criminal, and administrative law. In addition, participants will also be equipped with practical skills such as negotiation, litigation, and professional ethics.

The PKPA activity at FH UB is expected to produce advocates who are not only competent in the legal field, but also have integrity and commitment to justice. This event is part of FHUB and PERADI’s efforts to improve the quality of the advocate profession in Indonesia. (Rma/FH PR/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
