Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FISIP UB) held a New Student Assistance Program (Probin Maba), Saturday (3/10/2020).
The Sociology Program presented a big theme, namely ciao communita sociologia.
The implementation of this activity was carried out from 07.00 WIB to 11.30 WIB on the zoom meeting platform which was attended by 155 new students majoring in sociology throughout Indonesia.
In her remarks, Rohmana, as the Chief Executive of the Probin of Sociology, said that there is no better place for processing and achieving except in the department of sociology.
He hopes that through this probin, new students can gain knowledge about sociology as a scientific discipline, at both the academic and non-academic levels, the introduction of associations as homes and provision of experience to take a course in sociology.
He added, Probin aims to instill a sense of pride in the department, a sense of unity towards Sociology Students as a whole into one unit that is not fragmented by the year batch and to create quality Sociology students.
Head of Sociology Department, Anif Fatma Chawa, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D. welcomes new students to the house of sociology.
“This is the department you choose, enjoy the process because of the thousand students who want to enter Sociology, only you are the lucky ones to join us,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Sociology Association (Himasigi), Randy Naufal, said that each individual will move according to their respective phases.
