The Student Creativity Building (GKM) of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) is a 4-story building that is the center of FILKOM UB student activities and is located next to the Ulul Albab prayer room. GKM was inaugurated by Prof. Ir. Wayan Firdaus Mahmudy, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D., as the dean of FILKOM UB on (11/11/2023), in conjunction with the 12th FILKOM Anniversary activities. (https://filkom.ub.ac.id/2023/12/12/jalan-sehat-dalam-rangka-dies-natalis-filkom-ub-ke-12/). GKM is designed to be a center for student activities in developing creativity, innovation, organizing, exchanging ideas, discussing, playing and just relaxing. Each floor of GKM has its own function, starting from the first floor, the concept of this floor is made as a co-working space with many electrical sockets spread in various corners, making it easier for students to operate laptops or other devices. At the back of the first floor, there is also a canteen that has several food and beverage outlets that are diverse, delicious and all accept non-cash payments / QRIS.

The second floor, contains the secretariat room of the associations at FILKOM. There are a total of 18 secretariat rooms to accommodate various internal activities of each association itself. On the third floor, there is a co-working space where chairs and tables are available which makes this floor one of the favorite spots for students at GKM. In addition, on this floor there is also a room that can be used by student associations to carry out various activities that require a larger space and also tools such as projectors, chairs and others. And finally, the fourth floor functions as a room used for various large-scale events. There are two large rooms that can accommodate activities such as seminars, workshops, or other large events, with additional facilities such as projectors and chairs. On each floor of GKM there are toilets for men, women, and also students with disabilities. GKM architecture is friendly for the disabled students since it has special toilets for the disabled and special paths for the disabled that connect each floor.

GKM operating hours are Monday to Friday from 07.00 – 20.00 WIB, the procedure for using the GKM room on the 2nd floor, the secretariat can go directly to the lobby of building F, to fill out the loan form and leave the KTM during the loan. For the use of GKM on floors 3.1 and 4.1 and 4.2, there must be a form from the General & Equipment section before submitting to the lobby of building F. The existence of GKM is expected to increase creativity, innovation, and collaboration of the FILKOM UB academic community. (daa/sdm/nas/rr/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
