
Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has passed 1,092 achieved students through the SNBP pathway. This number is 29 percent of the total students accepted in SNBP UB 2025 or 3,779.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Imam Santoso, M.P explained that in the SNBP pathway, UB accepts not only based on report card grades but also academic and non-academic achievements.
The former Dean of FTP said that the 1,092 students accepted through the achievement pathway consisted of 351 students with achievements in the Olympiad field; 361 people with research papers; 161 people who have memorized the Quran; organizations, extracurricular and scouts as many as 111 people; vocal arts and music as many as 64 people; literature as many as 63 people; fine arts or painting as many as 23 people; and dance as many as 15 people.
“Every year we must appreciate. The criteria are that the achievement is at least national level and organized by a reputable organizer and UB will verify it,” said Prof. Imam
He added that students accepted through the achievement path will be coordinated with the vice rector for student affairs, so that those accepted through the achievement path, especially non-academic ones, will be given further guidance.
“So that they can not only maintain their achievements but also support UB in other competitions or competitions at the national and international levels through the development of Student Activity Units (UKM),” he said.
Meanwhile, in this year’s SNBP pathway, the highest competition for science and technology study programs is first, Pharmacy with an accepted percentage of 2.99%, Science and Data 4.7%, Nursing 4.80%, Medicine 4.81%, and Industrial Engineering 5.38%
For the social science study program, the highest tightness is Psychology 5.81%, Communication Science 6.37%, Business Administration 6.58%, Entrepreneurship 6.69%, and Chinese Literature 6.81%. (Didi/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
