Sabbatical Leave, UB Lecturer Generates Cooperation with Osaka University

Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati Prabowowati Wadjib, M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K) and Prof. Aoki Wataru

The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya together with the Biotechnology Department, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, have established cooperation and collaboration in improving knowledge in medical technology and the quality of international publications. This activity is a Sabbatical Leave 2024 lecturer grant program organized by Universitas Brawijaya.

This activity was carried out by Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati Prabowowati Wadjib, M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K) and a team with Prof. Aoki Wataru as a host Professor from Functional Microbe Technology Area, Biotechnology department graduate school of engineering, Osaka University for one month at Osaka University. Osaka University is a partner of FKUB which has a QS World University Rankings 2024 of Top 80 ranking.

The activities carried out include research activities, reporting activities carried out, writing and submitting draft manuscripts to target journals, and signing activities for international cooperation between FKUB and Osaka University.

“For activities carried out in the laboratory include antioxidant testing using the DPPH and ABTS antioxidant test methods, as well as network pharmacology between compounds that have been identified with genes related to metabolic syndrome obtained through the Disgenet and GeneCards databases,” said Yuyun.

In addition to activities in the laboratory, there are also improvements to the draft manuscript that has received major revisions from the Heliyon journal.

On this occasion, the signing of the International Agreement was also carried out between Prof. Yuyun as the head of the Sabbatical Leave committee with Prof. Wataru Aoki as the host professor who hopes to be able to establish further collaboration in the development of future research.

Through this program, Yuyun hopes to improve the quality of FKUB in the field of scientific writing, broaden insight related to technology, especially in the field of medical technology and strengthen cooperation for other collaborative plans in the future. (VQ/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
