Universitas Brawijaya Hospital in collaboration with Ambulance Volunteers of the Rumah Solusi Foundation of Malang Raya held a training to strengthen the Integrated Emergency Response System (SPGDT) on Thursday (1/30/2025) to improve Emergency services.
The training materials provided were regarding the Integrated Emergency Response System (SPGDT), Basic Life Support (BHD), and Ambulance Preparation. The activity was continued with field practice and basic skills such as assessing patient conditions, handling respiratory problems, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), stopping bleeding, and stabilizing the spine.
This activity was carried out as one of the manifestations of the tri dharma of UB higher education in the form of community service.
dr Novita Dwi Harjayanti, M.MRS as the Deputy Director of Medical and Nursing Services at Universitas Brawijaya Hospital Malang said that this activity is a form of dedication from RSUB hospital community to build public health in Malang Raya, we are committed to build excellent emergency services.
Doctor Novita added that this commitment is supported by the community and volunteers through good knowledge of Emergency handling which has an impact on healing and the success of medical treatment.
Aurick Yudha Nagara, Sp.EM, KPEC as an Emergency Medicine Specialist Doctor said that this training is important for upstream (in the hospital) to downstream (volunteers) handling.
“This activity helps how to stabilize the patient’s condition by fellow volunteers when the patient comes to the hospital,” he said.
This activity was also attended by Premitha Dhanang Yudanto as the founder of Rumah Solusi Malang Raya Foundation.
“I hope that with this activity held by RSUB, all levels of society can get fair and equitable health,” he said.
One of the volunteers from the Rumah Solusi Malang Raya Foundation expressed his appreciation and gratitude for holding this activity.
