Rector Inaugurates the Dean of FISIP and the Dean of Vocational Faculty  

Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Widodo, S.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.Med.Sc., on Wednesday (10/5/2023) in the Banquet Room 6th Floor of UB Rectorate Building carried out the Inauguration of Inter-time Deans of the Faculty of Social and Political Science and Faculty of Vocational, Universitas Brawijaya.

On the occasion, based on the Rector’s Decree Number: 2271 of 2023, Prof. Widodo appointed Anang Sujoko, S.Sos., M.Sc., D.COMM as the Dean of FISIP Inter-Term Period 2023 – 2024 and Rector’s Decree Number: 2272 of 2023 concerning the appointment of Mukhammad Kholid Mawardi, S.Sos., M.A.B., Ph. D., as Dean of the Vocational Faculty for the 2023 – 2024 Period.

In his remarks, the Rector thanked the previous Dean, Prof. Unti, who previously served as Dean of the Vocational Faculty and Prof. Abdul Hakim who previously served as acting. Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Science.

“I thank the previous Dean. Prof. Unti and also Prof. Hakim who have worked hard to build these two Faculties so that these two Faculties now, Alhamdulillah, have shown extraordinary progress so that this is a challenge for the new officials appointed today how to continue what our predecessors have done and hopefully everyone will be given strength so that we can continue to improve the quality of education at predecessors Universitas Brawijaya,” said the Rector.

In addition, the Rector also advised the new officials, there are always improve human resources, especially for lecturers, from the two faculties, in which many of the teachers are young and many are still holding Master degrees.

“One thing that may be very important, I entrust to the new officials. One of them is how to improve the quality of human resources, especially for the lecturers.”

“If I look at Vocational Faculty and also at FISIP, the average lecturer is still young and there are still many Masters students as well, so how to improve it so that later many of them can study Doctoral degrees and also the quality is especially quality experiences to be able to build networks, not just in national level but also international level,” he said.

At the end of his remarks, the Rector also advised to continue to equip his students to be able to study well by looking at student problems so that students can study well and graduate on time and of course with better achievements.
