
Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.Med.Sc., led the graduation ceremony for 819 graduates from the Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) on Saturday 17/05/2024, at the Samantha Krida Building for the XV period of the 2023/2024 Academic year. The event was attended by the Secretary of UB Board of Trustees, Chair and Secretary of the Academic Senate of Universitas Brawijaya, Vice Chancellors, Deans of Faculties, Director of the Postgraduate School and Secretary of Universitas Brawijaya, as well as UB Dharma Wanita Association and the Head of Public Prosecutor’s Bureau of the Republic of Indonesia.
In his speech, Prof. Widodo appreciated the sacrifice and hard work of the graduates as well as the support from friends, lecturers, relatives and especially parents. “Let’s continue to be grateful and appreciate the hard work of the people who support us, especially our parents,” he said.
Prof. Widodo also expressed his gratitude to students who have made UB’s name proud at national and international levels. He emphasized UB’s commitment to continue to improve the quality of education and the achievements obtained due to the hard work of lecturers, education staff and students.
“From the survey that has been conducted, more than 80 percent of UB alumni can work on time. UB continues to improve so that the quality becomes better and becomes an important part in improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia and IKA UB has launched the UB Talent Application, an important platform for connecting alumni with new graduates, in order to build collaborative networks in the future,” added Prof. Widodo
UB Chancellor also explained a number of achievements that UB had achieved. “Currently, UB is in the top 801-1001 position in the world according to the QS World University Rankings. In the QS World University Ranking by Subject, UB is in 301-350 position for Agriculture and Forestry, 451-500 for Business and Management Studies, 301-340 for Law, and 501-550 for Social Science and Management. According to UniRank, UB is the sixth best campus in Indonesia and 73rd in Asia,” he explained
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir.
