The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) announced the re-opening of the Research Room at the Legal Documentation and Information Center (PDIH) on the 8th floor of FH building (5/15/2024). This event was attended by the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., and Head of PDIH, Dr. Patricia Audrey Ruslijanto, S.H., M.KN.

In his remarks, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto emphasized the improvement of facilities that have been carried out at PDIH for student comfort.

“We have added better facilities at PDIH, by adding a co-working space for students. Hopefully, students will feel at home and like being on campus, especially the library. We want to change the image of the library from scary and boring to a comfortable place that can be used by students as best as possible,” said Dr. Aan.

He also said the main purpose of improving these facilities is that students spend more time in the library than in the cafe. “We provide the best and most comfortable facilities for students, and they must be used as well as possible,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dr. Patricia Audrey Ruslijanto explained the reason for naming the Research Room and the importance of research in the faculty.

“Research in the faculty is very important, and we give our best to facilitate the research that is carried out, especially on the 8th floor. PDIH is a comfortable place even from morning to evening. PDIH can also be used as a place to test and teach in the co-working space provided,” explained Dr. Patricia.
