Librarian of  UPT UB Library Conduct Presentation at CONSAL XVIII

The Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL) is a congress of librarians throughout Southeast Asia which is held every three years and is held in rotation in each member country, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Brunei Darussalam. In each congress held in each member country, usually the host/committee is the National Library and the Professional Association/Association of Librarians in each member country. In Indonesia, this activity is handled by the National Library of Indonesia together with the Association of Indonesian Librarians (IPI).

CONSAL as a meeting place for librarians in Southeast Asia is the right medium to exchange experiences and exchange ideas in developing knowledge about libraries and the librarian profession as well as anticipating future developments in the world of libraries and librarianship. In addition to its use for the development of the world of libraries and the librarian profession, this congress can also become a forum for its members to understand and work together

The main theme of the CONSAL XVIII Call for Paper is responding to the challenges faced by libraries and librarians in the new normal era. Including the roles and methods used by the library, especially during a pandemic. The titles of papers by UB librarians who passed include: The Effectiveness of Library Promotion through Instagram during a Pandemic for Z Generation by Ihwan Hariyanto S.AP, Dra.
