Universitas Brawijaya (UB) inaugurated the Self Access Center (SAC) and academic support facilities within the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB), Saturday (5/11/2022). This event became the culmination of FIB’s XIII Anniversary. The activity which was held in the lobby of A Building FCS was attended by the leaders of the rectorate, the deans, and invited guests from UB.
SAC was established to develop student competencies outside of teaching and learning activities in class, so as to create active students, and achieve quality graduates.
Vice Dean for General Affairs, Finance and Human Resources FIB, Nanang Endrayanto, M.Sc explained that this inauguration event was a form of gratitude for the 13th age of FIB and at the same time as a form of FIB’s readiness in meeting the needs for infrastructure and achieving international quality accreditation.
“Even though it is considered a relatively young faculty compared to other faculties, FIB has proven capable of responding to the challenges of the world of work and academics in the global era,” he said.
The event was opened with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Hamamah, Ph.D and followed by a ribbon-cutting by the Vice Rector for Finance and Human Resources Prof. Drs. Gugus Irianto, MSA., Ph.D., Ak.
After cutting the ribbon as a symbol of the inauguration of SAC, the rectorate leadership and the deans, followed by other invited guests, directly observed the results of the construction and renovation of SAC and academic support facilities at FIB. [Trisna/Irene/ Humas UB/ Trans. Iir]
