The Brawijaya University Student Choir Team (PSM UB) made another achievement in an international competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, (2-5/11). In the 2023 Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod International Choir Festival competition, UB PSM team succeeded in bringing home awards in several competition categories, such as: Winner of Grand Prix Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod International Choir Festival 2023, Winner of Mixed Youth Category, Winner of Mixed Voice Category and Winner of Folklore Category. This prestigious activity was attended by 100 choir teams from 11 countries, including Malaysia, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Sri Lanka.
UB PSM team consists of 34 singers and 1 worshiper, namely Annas Dwi Satriyo. The songs performed were Lux Aeterna Comp. Ily Matthew and Jubilate Deo Comp. Pietro Ferrario (Mixed Youth Choir category); Ergebung Comp. Hugo Wolf and Gloria Patri Comp. Budi Susanto Yohanes (Mixed Voices Choir category); and Karimatanu Kuicha Comp. Ko Matsushita and Benggong Arr. Ken Steven (Folklore category). During the Grand Prix, PSM UB again performed the song Jubilate Deo Comp. Pietro Ferrario and Surge Illuminare Comp.
