Psychology Study Program Conducts Reaccreditation Process

The Psychology Study Program of FISIP Universitas Brawijaya undergo a reaccreditation process which was carried out from Thursday to Friday (14-15/7/2022).

The Dean of FISIP UB, Dr Sholih Muadi SH., M.Si explained that the face-to-face accreditation process can make it easier for assessors to take a closer look at the current development of FISIP, especially Psychology.

“Moreover, one of the assessors, Mrs. Edtik, was also an assessor in Psychology in 2016,” he said.

According to Sholih Muadi, in FISIP there are still Psychology study programs that still have B accreditation. Meanwhile, other study programs have achieved A grades or excel. “Of course, I hope that this time the Psychology Study Program can get superior,” he said.

The man who is also a lecturer in the Political Science Study Program is sure that the assessors will provide the best input and appropriate assessment. Because according to Sholih, the one who can judge ourselves is not ourselves but others.

Sholih believes that currently the Psychology Study Program is ready to undergo the accreditation process. Because FISIP has an internal quality audit which is conducted once a year. “From this audit, we will evaluate which of course will make FISIP better,” he explained.

Meanwhile, UB Rector, Prof. Widodo S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D Med.Sc in his speech said that the university wants the study programs in UB to be internationally accredited.

“We want to develop study programs in UB so that they can go international. At the end of this year, around 100 study programs in UB will undergo international accreditation,” he said.

Especially for Psychology Study Program, Prof. Widodo hopes to get superior scores. Because according to him, FISIP with its various study programs, although still young, has a very high acceleration and exceeds the existing faculties, both institutional development and facilities.

“Of course we from the rectorate always fully support friends in the Faculty,” he explained. (Humas FISIP/ Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
