The Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya (FP UB) has again maintained its “Excellent” title based on the latest accreditation results from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This achievement was officially announced through the Decree of the Director of the BAN-PT Executive Board No. 4157/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/M/V/2024.
This decision states that the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program meets all the requirements to obtain an “Excellent” accreditation rating. This accreditation certificate is valid from May 14 2024 to May 14 2029, showing the study program’s commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of education.
The field assessment (FA) process was carried out on April 26-27 2024, to clarify the documents that had been submitted to BAN PT at the end of December 2023 by the Task Force Re-Accreditation Team for FP UB Agricultural Economics Master’s Program, chaired by the Head of Master of Agricultural Economics Study Program, namely Dr. Ir. Suhartini, MP at the end of December 2023.
The field assessment was carried out by the BAN PT Assessor Team, namely two leading experts in the field of agriculture, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Irfan Suliansyah, MS. from Andalas University, and Dr. Teguh Endaryanto, SP., M.S. from Lampung University. The field assessment was carried out in several sessions starting with a session with FP UB leadership, a session with the Re-Accreditation Task Force Team, a session with Permanent Study Program Lecturers (DTPS), a session with alumni, partners and stakeholders who use graduates, a session with educational staff and a session with students. Also present were alumni from various institutions and from various regions in the FA.
Head of the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program, Dr. Ir. Suhartini, M.P., expressed infinite gratitude to Allah SWT and expressed her highest gratitude to all parties who had contributed to the Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program Re-Accreditation Process, and was very proud and grateful for this ‘Excellent’ accreditation achievement.
“This is the result of the hard work of the entire Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program Re-accreditation task force team, lecturers and students, as well as support from all levels of UB and FP UB leadership, UB Quality Assurance Center and FP UB Quality Assurance Group, Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics, DTPS , education staff, all Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program alumni, collaboration partners and graduate user stakeholders as well as students who have contributed to this Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program Re-Accreditation, thank you very much to everyone. We hope to continue to improve the quality of education and research, as well as make a real contribution to agricultural development in Indonesia,” said Suhartini.
This “Excellent” accreditation confirms the position of FP UB Agricultural Economics Master’s Study Program as one of the leading study programs in the field of agriculture in Indonesia. With the support of adequate facilities, competent teaching staff, and curriculum that continues to be adapted to current developments, it is expected that this study program can continue to produce graduates who are superior and highly competitive.
