Undergraduate students (S1) batch of 2023, Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University (FH UB) received online socialization regarding the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) which is a flagship program from FH UB to provide broad insight into scientific fields both at home and abroad, Thursday (9/11/2023).
The activity, which was attended by approximately 145 students, opened with remarks from Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum as Dean of the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University (FH). In his speech, Aan said that FH has a strong commitment to support the Internationalization program of Brawijaya University to become a World Class University. The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) program is expected to be able to improve the ranking of Brawijaya University in general and the Faculty of Law in particular in the international ranking system.
“IUP is a class that we hope will firstly improve the quality of our learning, secondly increase the improvement of the Faculty of Law in the international ranking system,” said Aan.
“Of course there will be many things that we can obtain later in IUP program. Students will be introduced to a learning system that is equivalent to international universities in the world of education and later in IUP program we will have many programs that will provide opportunities for students to interact with students at foreign universities,” added Aan.
In addition to this, the Dean of FH Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum said that there is something interesting for students of the 2023 batch who want to take part in the program, that the IUP program is possible not only for students on the international route, but students who enter the regular route can also take part in the IUP program.
“It is possible for students who enter not through the foreign class or international class route to take part in this program with the same tuition fees as the class they entered in the first semester, except for conditional costs such as individual expenses which may be a consequence of future activities used to interact with the international world,” said Aan.
Chair of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) FH, Dr. Amelia Sri Kusuma Dewi, SH, M.Kn., added that apart from lectures in English, IUP is interesting because in semester 6 or 7 there will be International Exposure activities to Partner Universities abroad for one semester.
The 2023 batch students at the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University can start registering to take part in IUP program starting from (12/11 – 30/11/2023). The registration form is done online and further information will be provided via FH UB website. (FH PR/ OKY/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
