3in1 Program, Communication Science Collaborates with University of Malaya

The Department of Communication Science, Universitas Brawijaya held a 3in1 program for three days starting from Tuesday-Thursday (24/9-26/9/2024). In this program, UB Communication Science collaborated with the University of Malaya.

For three days, a lecturer from the University of Malaya, Dr. Muhamad Shamsul Ibrahim provided lecture materials to hundreds of Communication Science students, especially about the development of mass media in Malaysia.

The Secretary of UB Communication Science Department, Reza Safitri S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., said that this program is part of the implementation of the collaboration between UB Communication Science and the University of Malaya.

“For this 3in1 program, the course taught by the speaker, Dr. Muhamad Shamsul Ibrahim is New Media Studies,” he explained.

Reza hopes that with this activity, students will gain insight from the social media phenomenon in Malaysia.

“In addition, students will also gain insight into current issues related to digital media studies, especially from the speaker’s research,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Dr. Muhammad Shamsul Ibrahim admitted that this was the first time he had given lectures for 3 consecutive days.

“To give this lecture for the third time, I have visited four times. Once for a meeting, three times to give lectures, and this is the longest for three days,” he explained.
