The Sociology Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FISIP-UB) obtained an A accreditation ranking which has been decided by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The sureness of A accreditation is obtained after the Department of Sociology FISIP-UB receives the certificate from BAN-PT.
The BAN-PT certificate received was based on BAN-PT Decree Number 6865 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / S / XI / 2020 which was issued on 3 November 2020 and signed by the Director of the Executive Board of BAN-PT, Prof. Basaruddin.
Finally, the department received the announcement of BAN-PT after 10 days since the online visitation which took place on 23 and 24 October 2020. There were two assessors who conducted the visitation, Dr. Azwar, M.Si from Andalas University, Padang and Dr. H. R. Nunung Nurwati, M.Si from Pajajaran University, Bandung.
During the visitation, the two assessors asked many questions about what the sociology department had done. At that time, the Dean of FISIP-UB, Dr. Sholih Mu’adi, SH, MSi explained about the steps which were took by the department in seeing stakeholders, such as alumni and alumni users in various activities, including in the preparation of the vision and mission.
The decision of BAN-PT which gave an A accreditation rating was warmly welcomed by the academic community of FISIP-UB, including students majoring in sociology. (21 / Mon / RMA / Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
