Bagus Lukmannulhakim, S.Gz., Dietitian, as a representative of the graduates said that it was an honor to graduate from UB’s Dietitian Professional Education on time and realized that this was the first step in the world of work and hoped that new dietitians could carry out their profession with full integrity, professionalism and responsibility.
Deputy Chairperson of the East Java DPD Persagi, Taufiqurrahman SKM, MPH highlighted that it is currently still difficult to find Dietitian graduates with a master’s degree in Nutrition. So it is necessary to encourage graduates to be able to continue their education to a higher level. Prof. Dian Handayani, SKM., M.Kes, PhD, as the Dean of FIKES, also conveyed the same thing so that graduates can continue their education, especially since FIKES already has Masters Program in Nutrition. Prof. Dian also conveyed that the RPL program aims to increase the quantity of Dietitians in Indonesia as well as the quantity of study programs that provide professional education for dietitians. FIKES UB is one of the first institutions to accept students through the RPL program per Even Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year. He also said that the RPL Program participants who took this oath were nutritionists from hospitals in the East Java region, namely Dr. Soetomo Hospital. Soetomo, Jombang Regional Hospital, Blambangan Banyuwangi Regional Hospital, Mitra Keluarga Pondok Tjandra Surabaya, and lecturers from educational institutions, namely the Institute of Science and Health Technology PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Jember State Polytechnic, Poltekes Kemenkes Mataram, Dhyana Pura University, Singaperbangsa Karawang University and Universitas Brawijaya itself.
The Dean emphasized that graduates should immediately take care of their STR (Registration Certificate) and SIP (Practice Permit) to be able to practice independently so that they can apply their knowledge as professional dietitians.
Hopefully, with this Oath procession, new Dietitians can carry out their profession as dietitians who are ethical, dignified and bring benefits for the community. (*/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
