The Electrical Engineering Study Program achieves Excellent Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for State Universities (BANPT).
Secretary of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Rahmadwati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D said that the excellent accreditation achieved was used as capital for institutions and stakeholders to align themselves with other campuses.
“In this MBKM era, collaboration will be more possible from institutions of the same level. Opportunities for cooperation with companies will also be more open with excellent accreditation. For alumni, excellent accreditation will also open up greater opportunities in finding work and further studies,” said Rahma.
The Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, M. Aziz Muslim, S.T.,M.T.,PhD hopes that UB Electrical Engineering can be even better in the future, not only qualitatively but also competitively.
Aziz added that the current competitors are not only campuses in the country but also abroad.
Excellent accreditation begins when the electrical engineering study program (PSTE) gets BANPT accreditation from 2020-2025 with an A score. Then in March 2019, the Electrical Engineering Study Program received interim IABEE accreditation until 1 Nov 2021.
With the change in excellent predicate at BANPT, the Electrical Engineering Study Program tried to apply for a excellent rating from the international accreditation certificate.
Finally, the Electrical Engineering Study Program got excellent rank with an accreditation period until 1 Nov 2021 according to IABEE certificate.
In November 2021 the accreditation ended so that it was also submitted at the same time as the interim IABEE accreditation. In December 2021, the Electrical Engineering Study Program finally received an excellent predicate from BAN PT and a few days ago IABEE also issued its accreditation status,” she said.
