PPSAI is Officially Established,  Ready to Strengthen National Aquaculture Collaboration

Four PPSAI representatives officially signed the Deed of Establishment in the signing ceremony.

The Indonesian Aquaculture Study Program Association (PPSAI) was officially established after the signing of the Notarial Deed on Tuesday (3/25/2025). The event took place in the 2nd floor courtroom of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) witnessed by Notary Letizia Dessy Andreassari.

The Dean of FPIK UB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Maftuch, M.Sc., was present on the occasion with Wahyu Endra Kusuma, S.Pi., M.P., D.Sc., who represented UB Aquaculture Study Program. In his remarks, Prof. Maftuch expressed his appreciation and support for the establishment of PPSAI and hoped that this organization could provide broad benefits to the Indonesian aquaculture world.

The deed of establishment was signed by four representatives of PPSAI, namely Wahyu Endra Kusuma (Universitas Brawijaya), Hany Handajani (Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang), Mega Yuniartik (Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Banyuwangi), and Lusiana BR. Ritonga (Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic, Sidoarjo). This document is the basis for the legality of PPSAI under the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

PPSAI was first formed in 2022 at Universitas Brawijaya on the initiative of FPIK UB Aquaculture Study Program. This organization aimed at strengthening cooperation between aquaculture study programs in the fields of education, research, and community service.
