In the early of 2021, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) released two lecturers who have entered their full term of service. Both are lecturers with an interest in animal husbandry production, which are Dr. Ir. Moch. Nasich, MS. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Luqman Hakim, MS.
The farewell ceremony was carried out by the Dean and his representatives which was broadcast virtually, Wednesday (20/01/2021). Through ZOOM and YouTube Fapet UB channel, the event was attended by lecturers and internal employees.
Dean of Fapet UB, Prof. Suyadi expressed his gratitude for the dedication of Dr. Nasich and Prof. Luqman who has devoted his knowledge and time, as a contribution to build animal husbandry.
“This separation is not the end of everything, I hope the relationship will remain. And hopefully the dedication of them is counted as charity by Allah SWT, aamiin. ” Suyadi explained
Meanwhile Dr. Nasich, who has devoted 37 years to become a lecturer at Fapet UB, expressed his gratitude as well as an apology to the government through the Dean and UB Rector. Because according to him, many mistakes were made, whether intentionally or not, while being a civil servant.
In line with that, Prof. Luqman expressed his gratitude for being part of Fapet UB family. He also expressed his gratitude to all the academic community of Fapet UB and UB for their cooperation during pursuing a career that has been 40 years.
For him, disputes over differences of opinion in one organization or institution are common. Therefore, he also apologized for all mistakes, whether he said and did deliberately or not.
Dr. Nasich ended in November 2020. During his time at Faculty of Animal Husbandry he had experienced as Dean Assistant II, head of the livestock production section, to the chairman of (takmir) of Al A’raaf Mosque.
Whereas, prof. Luqman as the fifth professor at Faculty of Animal Husbandry, ends since early January 2021. He has served as secretary of UB research agency (1988-1993), head of UB research institute center (1994-2003), head of livestock production study program (1992-1994), head of livestock genetics lab (2005-2010), member of the National Research Council of the Minister of Research and Technology (1999-2002), commission for livestock breeds of the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry (2004-2013), the national research review team (2004-2020), and chairman of the UB Advisory Council (2019- 2023).
