Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Library repeated its success by passing the call for paper selection at the 15th Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) which will be held in Lampung. KPDI is a prestigious event among librarians and library activists in Indonesia, which every year attracts participation from various libraries throughout Indonesia. This conference aims to promote innovation, collaboration, and development of digital libraries in Indonesia, as well as being a forum for sharing knowledge and best practices in the field of libraries and information.
This year, KPDI 15 Lampung carries the theme: Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Digital Libraries. This theme is divided into four selected topics, namely topic 1: The role of AI in the transformation of digital librarianship, topic 2: Utilization of AI in the realm of education, social, and culture: legal and ethical contexts, topic 3: Utilization of AI in education and the study of information sciences, and topic 4: AI in strengthening cultural resilience and accelerating digital transformation and the production of digital talent.
This success marks an important achievement for UB Library, which has succeeded in placing two papers among 104 paper titles submitted from various libraries and institutions from all over Indonesia.
The two papers that passed were Analysis of the Utilization of AI in Supporting Education and Writing of Scientific Papers for Librarians Using the UTAUT 2 Model by Gabriel Wahyu Purnomo & Prayoga Rizki Wikandani. This paper raises topic 3 which analyzes how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to support education and writing of scientific papers for librarians, using the UTAUT 2 (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) model.
Another paper discusses strengthening local cultural resilience in Indonesia and accelerating digital transformation towards digital talent production moderated by the use of AI by Gabriel Wahyu Purnomo, Prayoga Rizki Wikandani and Kurniasih Yuni Pratiwi. This paper discusses topic 4, exploring how strengthening local cultural resilience in Indonesia can be accelerated through digital transformation and digital talent production, moderated by the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
“This success shows the commitment and dedication of UB Library in supporting research and development in the field of digital libraries. We hope that these two papers can make a significant contribution to the conference and bring the good name of UB Library to the national stage. We ask for prayers and support from all UB academics so that UB Library can achieve the best achievements at the KPDI 15 Lampung 2024 event.
