Strengthening Internasional Network, UB Collaborates with Atdikbud Bangkok

As an effort to strengthen international cooperation, Universitas Brawijaya together with the Education and Culture Attache, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia held a workshop. This meeting was held on Friday (13/7/2023) in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Universitas Brawijaya.

Present as a speaker, the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Ir. Achmad Wicaksono M.Eng., Ph.D., IPU., as a speaker accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, MP., and several Vice Deans I at UB.

In his remarks, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, MP., expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok in initiating this workshop. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in facing current global challenges, and highlighted the potential for collaboration that could improve the quality of education in both countries.

Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Ir. Achmad Wicaksono M.Eng., Ph.D., IPU., who is also a Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya hopes that this workshop will produce concrete steps in strengthening relations between Universitas Brawijaya and universities in Thailand. “By mutually supporting and collaborating, we will be able to achieve progress in the field of education and face global challenges together,” he explained.

In addition, the workshop also held presentations on the potential and advantages of education in Indonesia and Thailand. This aims to broaden participants’ understanding of the education systems of the two countries and encourage the exchange of experiences and best practices in improving the quality of education.

This activity is expected to be a starting point for closer cooperation between Universitas Brawijaya and universities in Thailand. Through stronger collaboration, we can support each other in facing global changes and produce innovations that have a positive impact on Universitas Brawijaya. Workshop participants actively discussed and exchanged ideas regarding opportunities for collaboration in research, exchange of lecturers and students, as well as dual programs with universities in Thailand.

With the Workshop on Strengthening Cooperation with Universities in Thailand, it is hoped that there will be a strong synergy between Universitas Brawijaya and universities in Thailand in order to encourage exchange of knowledge, research and experience, as well as strengthen collaboration in the development of higher education.
