Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held an online Anti-Corruption Perception Index Survey (IPAK) socialization activity attended by Faculty Deans, Directors of Directorates, Directors of Postgraduate/PSDKU/BPU/BSS/RSUB/Polyclinics, Heads of UPT, Heads of Divisions, Faculty KTU, Heads of Faculty ZI/PSDKU/BPU, and Head of TP3G UB. This activity is part of UB’s efforts to support the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform and strengthening integrity in the campus environment.
The event was opened by the Head of UB Bureaucratic Reform Unit, Dr. Ngesti Ngesti Dwi Prasetyo, S.H., M.Hum., who expressed his appreciation to all parties who participated in Bureaucratic Reform at UB. He emphasized that the two main programs being implemented, namely the implementation of the integrity zone by the Directorate of Higher Education and the Ministry of State Aparatus and Bureaucratic Reform \ and the PIE PTN program by the KPK, are running synergistically to strengthen the integrity ecosystem in higher education.
“One of the impacts of the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform and the PIE PTN program is the requirement to conduct a survey to measure the anti-corruption perception index. This IPAK survey will last until World Anti-Corruption Day (Harkodia) and is part of a series of events centered at UB on November 21, 2024,” said Dr. Ngesti.
In this socialization, the Head of UB IPAK Team, Nurjannah, S.Si., M.Phil., Ph.D., explained that the main purpose of this survey is to provide a quantitative picture of the portrait of corruption within UB and the need for one parameter in the form of an index. “We hope that this survey can be a parameter to identify and improve areas that require special attention,” she explained.
Nurjannah also emphasized the importance of the commitment of faculty and unit leaders in supporting adequate respondent involvement. The main challenge faced is ensuring the number of respondents and honesty in filling out the survey.
This socialization activity is expected to produce two main things, namely representation of all faculties and units that meet the respondent target, as well as collaboration of the entire UB community to improve integrity sustainably. (WDD/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
