In connection with the completion of the construction of Algoritma Auditorium, Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB), an inauguration was carried out by the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS. (17/3/2021). The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. drh. Aulanni’am, DES., Vice Rector for Administration and Finance, Prof. Drs. Gugus Irianto, MSA., Ph.D., Ak., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, namely Prof. Dr. Drs. Abdul Hakim, M.Sc., as well as the Dean and leaders of the Faculty of Computer Science.
The first event was a remarks from the Dean of FILKOM, Wayan Firdaus Mahmudy, S.Si., MT., Ph.D. who conveyed that Algoritma Auditorium as an effort to improve services to students and as the main room for holding ceremonial activities.
“Many efforts have been made by FILKOM in providing good services to students, one of them is the Algoritma Auditorium, with good facility so that students can express themselves more here,” he said.
UB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS. conveyed that FILKOM was proud to build facilities which were considered to be very good and best, and praised the Algoritma Auditorium owned by FILKOM which is the best in UB. Of course the appreciation is given because FILKOM is considered as a young faculty but has adequate buildings and facilities for services to students and the entire academic community.
“The Algoritma Auditorium owned by FILKOM is very good in terms of function and room design. In my opinion, it is the best auditorium in Universitas Brawijaya. I am proud because FILKOM as a young faculty that already has good facilities like this, “said the former Dean of FP.
It should be noted that Algoritma Auditorium is located in the second floor, G Building of FILKOM, east of the Dean Building. Algoritma Auditorium is used for activities organized by faculties or leaders and lecturers who plan to hold activities such as seminars, guest lectures, workshops and socialization. In addition to the inauguration of Algoritma Auditorium, FILKOM also launched a Learning Video Portal which was part of a series of events for this inauguration. Considering that FILKOM is still one of the young faculties in UB, the development will continue to be carried out in the future. This year, development will still be focused on student association spaces that have entered the finishing process. Hopefully this pandemic period will end soon so that the entire academic community of FILKOM can use the new facilities exist in FILKOM UB. (DRN / Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
