Malang, November 10, 2024 – The 63rd Anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), officially concluded on Sunday (10/11) with a series of events involving the entire academic community. The activities began with a group exercise session attended by lecturers, administrative staff, and students, and was graced by the presence of former deans of Fapet UB. Following the exercise, a lively fun walk around the campus brought energy and excitement to all participants.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Halim, expressed his hopes for strengthened bonds and camaraderie among lecturers, staff, and students. “Through this event, I hope we can foster stronger bonds and a closer sense of togetherness among lecturers, staff, and students. I also hope this activity brings positive energy to continue advancing the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya,” he stated.
After the fun walk, the event continued with a communal meal followed by the “Pesta Kandang” activity, an initiative by Fapet UB students. “Pesta Kandang” featured musical performances from one of the university’s Student Activity Units (UKM) and included food booths organized by students to enliven the atmosphere. Additionally, there was a competition judging student creativity and innovation in developing livestock tools made from recycled materials, such as water filtration systems for chicken coops and other sustainable farming tools.
The closing ceremony of the 63rd Anniversary celebration was lively and filled with warmth. This series of activities is expected to strengthen the connection among all elements of the Fapet UB academic community, providing renewed enthusiasm for the faculty’s future advancement.
