Closing of AWMM 2024, Exhibits 111 Students’ Business Ideas

Closing the Independent Student Entrepreneurship Academy, Universitas Brawijaya held an exhibition of student entrepreneurial products. This exhibition was held on Tuesday, (10/12/2024) at the Samanta Krida Building, Universitas Brawijaya. At this exhibition, 443 participants exhibited their entrepreneurial products in groups.

According to Karuniawan Puji Wicaksono, SP., MP., Ph.D. as the Chief Executive of AWMM 2024, the total number of AWMM alumni since it was first held has reached 1,379 students. “This year, there are 443 participants from 30 universities in Indonesia, who are agents of change and are expected to be catalysts in creating a sustainable student entrepreneurship ecosystem,” he explained.

“This year, there are many interesting products produced. One of them is a business consulting service that utilizes the Internet of Things. This service is a kind of incubator for novice entrepreneurs to become entrepreneurs. We hope that this event will not become the end of a process, but this is the beginning of the Step to becoming an entrepreneur,” he said.

“Hopefully your business will continue to grow, and provide benefits to the Community and Indonesia,” concluded the man who serves as Director of UB Alumni Career and Entrepreneurship Development Directorate.

In addition to the expo, the participants also made presentations in front of 40 certified mentors. He hopes that in the future, the government will continue to maintain programs that provide opportunities for young Indonesians to become entrepreneurs.

Present to give a virtual speech, the Rector hopes that the participants will continue their entrepreneurial talents. “This can be your provision for the future. Entrepreneurs play a role in the economy by utilizing local products,” he said.

From the activities during this semester, 111 prototypes were produced from various types of businesses, such as IT, agriculture, animal husbandry, cultivation, culinary, fashion and others. The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship said that AWMM was designed to prepare and create entrepreneurs from an early age.

“They have undergone training, conditioning in such a way that later they will get sufficient provisions to become entrepreneurs. Today they show what they have learned during the training,” he concluded.

AWMM also gave appreciation to the participants in several categories. The winners announced on Tuesday night included Best video won by Brick n co, Ecocip furniture, Guru studio, Hemore, Kurma, Morosgerai, Tansemika, Warisan Rasa, Sayrolls and Piyik GenZ. The Best Decoration Exhibition category was won by Ciku Group (82 voters) and Udonku Doon.

The Best Participant category: Qoribul Lathif and Yusnia Ananta. The Best Facilitator category was won by Fito Firmansyah. The Best Mentor category was won by Ahmad Rizal Syamsul Alam and Hendi Suryo Leksono. Finally, the Best Business Idea was won by Cekrek Studio, Patty Wrap and Dquantities(VQ/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
