Journal Accreditation Improvement at FTUB: A Testament to Dedication and Quality

JURNAL FTUB NAIK PERINGKATThe Chair of the FTUB Journal Publishing Board, Prof. Dr. Femiana Gapsari Madhi Fitri, S.T., M.T., expressed appreciation for the remarkable achievements of the journal teams in three departments of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB).

“Alhamdulillah, this is an achievement that reflects hard work and high commitment,” stated the Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

The first journal to enhance its accreditation is JEMIS from the Department of Industrial Engineering (DTI), which successfully advanced to SINTA 2.

Another achievement comes from the Department of Electrical Engineering (DTE) with the journal EECCIS, which made a significant leap from SINTA 4 (expired) to SINTA 3. Prof. Femiana described this success as evidence of the team’s outstanding dedication in maintaining and improving journal quality.

Additionally, the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (PWK) and its journal, TAKODA, successfully maintained their position in SINTA 4, showcasing their consistency in journal management.

Support from FTUB leadership has also been crucial in managing high-standard journals. The leadership’s role is considered vital in improving journal accreditation quality within FTUB.

FTUB Vice Dean I, Dr.Eng. Ir. Indradi Wijatmiko, S.T., M.Eng.(Prac), remarked that this success proves the faculty’s continuously evolving journal publication quality. He stated that accreditation improvements reflect internal dedication and open opportunities for high-quality research to make a broader impact at the national and international levels.

This achievement also reinforces FTUB’s commitment to supporting its academic community in consistently producing excellent scientific works. It is hoped that this step will further strengthen FTUB’s position in the academic world and enhance the recognition of its research publications globally.

“With this achievement, we are optimistic about continuing to improve the quality of existing journals, making them credible platforms for researchers to contribute significantly to the development of science and technology both nationally and internationally,” he concluded.
