
The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) received a visit from Atma Jaya University journal manager in the context of a comparative study of scientific journal management. This visit aims to learn about best practices in journal management implemented by FH UB, which is known for having good quality and professionally managed journals.
The arrival of the group from Atma Jaya University on Monday (20/5/2024) was welcomed by the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., along with FH UB journal management team in the Auditorium on the 6th floor of A Building FH UB. In his speech, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto emphasized the importance of benchmarking activities to strengthen the quality of academic journals in Indonesia.
“We are honored to receive a visit from Atma Jaya University. This benchmarking is an important step to learn from each other and share experiences in managing academic journals. “We hope that what we convey can be useful and can be implemented at Atma Jaya University,” said Dr. Aan.
Representative of Atma Jaya University Journal Management, Nindry Sulistya Widiastiani, S.H., M.H., appreciated the welcome given by FH. She expressed her desire to implement the good practices learned during this visit.

“We are very grateful for the extraordinary welcome from UB Faculty of Law. Through this benchmarking, we learned a lot about various aspects of journal management, starting from the manuscript acceptance process, the assessment system by reviewers, to the distribution and publication of articles. We hope to be able to apply the knowledge we gain here to improve the quality of our journal at Atma Jaya University,” said Nindry.
During the visit, the group from Atma Jaya University held a discussion session with FH journal editorial team. In this session, they discussed various challenges and solutions in journal management, including the use of the latest technology in journal management and the application of publication ethical standards.
