Brawijaya University(UB) and Learning Development Consortium in the Indonesian Network (Indonesia Cyber Education/ICE) Institute signed a Cooperation Agreement on Thursday (4/01/2024). This event was held online in the meeting room, 7th floor of UB Rectorate Building.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Brawijaya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, MP, and Chair of the Learning Development Consortium in the Indonesian Network (Rector of Open University), Prof. Ojat Darojat M.Bus. Ph.D., signing the cooperation agreement ceremonially. The event was also attended by various parties, including the Open University Team, the Ice Institute Team, the Vice Dean of the Faculty Academic Affairs in UB environment, the Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs of the Alumni Student Affairs and the Postgraduate School Cooperation of UB, the Expert Staff of UB Academic Vice Rector, the Chairperson and Secretary Educational Development Institute (LPP), Director and Secretary of the Directorate of Administration and Academic Services, Chair of the Department and Heads of study program of the faculties in UB, as well as the Central Chair in LPP UB environment.
In addition to the signing of the cooperation agreement, this activity was also filled with the socialization of Digital Marketing and online learning services.
Chairman of the Education Development Institute (LPP), Prof. Dr. Dr. Loeki Enggar Fitri, M. Kes., Sp.Park., In her report, explained that this activity aims to facilitate the access to UB education both domestically and abroad, as well as improving the quality of online school education and the initiation of long -distance education.
Prof. Loeki Enggar Fitri stated, “There needs to be a change in the perspective of education so that it becomes holistic without limits as well as welcoming the 5.0 Society era. Then the use of digital technology in the aspect of education is very crucial. This activity also aims to meet the needs of Lifelong Learning through the provision of a quality learning system and learning content that can be accessed by anyone, whenever, and anywhere. ”
In his remarks, the Vice Rector for UB Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, MP, revealed UB’s commitment in developing various learning media. He appreciated the signing of this cooperation agreement, which is expected to provide more benefits, especially in facilitating students to utilize various learning resources outside the classroom.
“Hopefully this activity can provide the widest benefits for both parties, and in the future, we can encourage and facilitate the acceleration of this cooperation, because in the future it will develop a study program that is managed in a long distance lecture (PJJ),” added Prof. Imam
