MoA Signing between FILKOM and NTUST Taiwan

In order to realize the Lecturer Works (DOKAR) program, the Undergraduate of Information Technology Education (PTI) Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM), Universitas Brawijaya (UB) initiated cooperation with the Graduate Institute of Digital Learning and Education (GIDLE), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). As a commitment to this international cooperation, PTI UB as part of FILKOM UB discussed and determined the cooperation plan in the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with GIDLE, NTUST. In the activity held at the T4 building of NTUST, Taiwan, Wednesday (11/9/2024), FILKOM UB was represented by two lecturers from PTI UB, Uun Hariyanti, Ph.D., who also serves as the secretary of the Learning Technology Laboratory (TEL) and Faizatul Amalia, S.Pd., M.Pd. who also acts as the secretary of the Research and Community Service Agency (BPPM) for Cooperation. Meanwhile, from NTUST who attended this activity included Professor Hsiu-Ling Chen as the head of GIDLE, Professor Hi-Lian Jeng, Assistant Professor Ming-Kuo Hung, Assistant Professor Tsai-Ju Lee, and Assistant Professor Hou-Chiang Tseng. NTUST, also known as Taiwan Tech, is a state technological and vocational university located in Taipei, Taiwan. Founded in 1974, NTUST is also known as the first and leading higher education institution in the field of science and technology in Taiwan. In addition, based on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World ranking on the subject of education and training, GIDLE is ranked QS #101-150.

At the meeting, a presentation was also held about NTUST related to the field of research and also the professors who teach. The fields of research offered include educational technology and design, learning analytics and data mining, mobile & ubiquitous learning, online and blended learning, game-based & flip, AI in education, and VR/AR metaverse. In addition, FILKOM also offers activities that can invite professors from GIDLE in an activity such as the 3 in 1 program or guest lectures at FILKOM. Faiz said that the signing of this MoA, in addition to the realization of the DOKAR program, is also for the development of international cooperation.

“For the development of international cooperation, several points are expected to be realized, such as the development of research and community service cooperation, the development of education programs and the development of international cooperation. In the future, it is hoped that it can involve the exchange of students, lecturers, and staff to improve the quality of education and research globally,” explained Faiz. (fa/rr/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
