The Opening of AQAS International Accreditation Visitation for Fine Arts and Anthropology Study Program

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) organizes an international accreditation process for Fine Arts and Anthropology study programs. This time the assessment was carried out by the Agentur zur Qualitätssicherung an Hochschulen mit Sitz in Köln (AQAS) accreditation agency for the Fine Arts and Anthropology Study Program at the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) in the UB Rectorate Building, 8th floor, Monday (5/9/2022).

In his opening speech, UB Rector, Prof. Widodo explained about UB’s profile starting from the vision and mission, number of students, study programs to the achievements of UB lecturers and students.

In his remarks Prof. Widodo also conveyed the benchmarks for UB’s development until 2039.

“In 2024 to 2029, UB is ranked less than 500 for QS rank accreditation institutions and 60 percent of study programs are internationally accredited. From 2029 to 2034, it will be a period of innovation expansion with UB’s ranking at QS less than 400 and the number of internationally accredited study programs rising to 85 percent. In 2034 to 2039 UB is ranked 300th with 85 percent of accredited study programs,” he said.

In addition to explaining the development milestones, the former Dean of FMIPA also revealed about UB’s involvement in the MBKM program.

He said that UB students were involved in nine programs including Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM), namely BANGKIT, Teaching Campus, Permata Merdeka, Internship and Certified Independent Study, Free Student Exchange, International Credit Transfer Program, Indonesia International Student Mobility, and GERILYA.
