Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held an Opening Ceremony of Virtual Student Exchange 2020 and Celebration of 12th Anniversary of FKH UB, Friday (4/9/2020).
The Dean of FKH UB, drh. Dyah Ayu O.A.P, M.Biotech in his speech said that FKH UB held a series of cooperation activities both at national and international levels.
International programs such as Visiting Professor 3 in 1, Student Exchange inbound and outbound, Join Research and Publication which is held every year, will be held in virtual meetings or online.
“This year’s Virtual Student Exchange Program will be attended by 33 delegates from the Veterinary Medicine Tarlac Agricultural University (CVM TAU) Philippines; three delegates from the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine Nonglam University, and two delegates from Ghent University Belgium, “said the Dean of FKH UB, drh. Dyah Ayu O.A.P, M.Biotech.
The series of FKH UB Anniversary activities in 2020 began with Social Service to the Community of Kalisongo Village (19/8/2020), followed by a series of competitions including make-up challenges, photography, educational videos, speech competitions, poster design and quiz for all academic community of FKH UB.
The series of competitions was held online by downloading the material on the official Instagram account of FKH UB (@fkh_ub) and the winner was determined by the highest number of likes.
Meanwhile, the quiz competition is also held online through the Kahoot application. After cutting the tumpeng and reciting prayers, the winners of the competition were announced at the end of this celebration event.
“The 12th Anniversary of FKH is quite different since it is celebrated in an atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic where the theme of this year’s anniversary is ‘Together We Can Fight COVID-19’ in the form of sharing with Kalisogo Village Community (masks, hand washing barrels and foodstuffs), achievers (creativity competition, education and student exchange) and be grateful (celebration), “said the head of FKH UB’s 12th Anniversary, Drh. Dodik Prasetyo, M.Vet.
The highlight of the 12th FKH Anniversary event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. drh. Aulanni’am, DES, and also attended by the Deans and / or representatives from 4 universities who were invited to collaborate in implementing the student exchange program, including Prof. Ma. Asuncion Beltran and Dr. Krestel Joy from CVM TAU, Philippines and Prof. Le Quang Thong and Prof. Le Thanh Hien from the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Nong Lam University, Vietnam.
