Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Library held Journal Training for lecturers and education staff of PSDKU Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Kediri on Monday, (27/5/2024) in Meeting Room 2, UB Library Building and guided by Cuikitalia as the host for improving the ability of PSDKU UB Kediri lecturers and staff in writing and publishing scientific works in reputable journals. This activity was attended by lecturers and teaching staff who were enthusiastic about following the material presented by the presenters.
Dedy Gusra, S.Ag opened the training by providing material on “iThenticate”, discussing the authentication and authorization process in journal publications. Annisty Nurul Fajriyah, A.Md, then explained about “UB Repository”, a digital platform managed by UB Library to store and publish the scientific work of lecturers and students.
The third material was delivered by Ir. Heri Prayitno, who gave a presentation on “E-Resources subscribed by UB and AI for Research”. In this session, participants gained insight into access and use of electronic resources subscribed by UB Library, as well as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to support research activities.
“We hope that this training can equip PSDKU UB Kediri lecturers and staff with the knowledge and skills needed to produce quality journal publications. This is in line with our efforts to improve the quality and productivity of research within Universitas Brawijaya,” said Dr. Iwan Permadi, Head of UB Library, in his speech.
The training participants enthusiastically participated in each session and actively discussed with the presenters. They appreciate UB Library’s efforts in providing training that is very relevant to the needs of lecturers and staff in developing academic careers.
“This training is very useful for us, especially in improving our scientific publication capabilities in reputable journals. We hope to be able to apply the knowledge gained to increase research productivity at PSDKU UB Kediri,” said one of the training participants.
This Journal Training is one of a series of activities organized by UB Library to support the development of academic and research competencies in UB environment, especially at PSDKU UB Kediri.
