First Aid Training and Certification by UB and the Ministry of Manpower RI

The Person in Charge of Occupational Safety and Health (PJK3) of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) held an activity at the Swiss-Belinn Hotel. The activity carried out was the Training and Certification of First Aid Officers (P3K) for UB lecturers and education personnel, for three days (4/12-6/12/2024).

The training and certification activities began with an initial knowledge test before participants received the material. Then, continued with the presentation of the material by UB PJK3 team. At the end of the activity, all participants will take a final knowledge test related to the various materials that have been presented during the three days.

The activity was opened by UB Secretary of the University (Sekun), Dr. Tri Wahyu Nugroho accompanied by the Head of UB K3L Division, Prof. Dr. Ir. Qomariyahus Sholihah, S.T., M.Kes. In his speech, the Secretary said that this activity is very important to be implemented as one of UB’s efforts to become an international university. In addition to good infrastructure, it is also necessary to have good human resources. There needs to be proper handling and first aid before being continued handling by experts or doctors related to an incident or accident.

“UB is always committed to increasing the capacity and ability of its personnel, in addition to providing good facilities and infrastructure. UB wants to prepare and fulfill everything to provide international standard services,” explained the man who is familiarly called Tri.

“K3 is an important requirement in the standardization process. UB is very serious about maintaining the work safety of all its lecturers and employees. In addition, as a service to all UB stakeholders, various knowledge conveyed during this activity is expected to be implemented at UB properly,” continued the lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) UB.
