Univesitas Brawijaya’s students have once again made achievements in the field of archery. This time, through the Archery Student Activities Unit, they participated in the 2024 Governor’s Cup Championship.
This competition was held in Surabaya last Sunday (28/4). In this event, UAP UB members won medals in two categories, namely the Men’s General Compound which was won by Davin Dalana Fidelio Fredra and Men’s Team Compound by Naufal Fadhil Rizqi, Gading Aceh and Davin Dalana Fidelio Fredra, who managed to give the highest points in the team category, beat other top clubs or teams.
The championship, which took place in Surabaya, was attended by more than 915 participants in all archery divisions. They come from various clubs or representatives of Regency Governments and City Governments throughout East Java, who take part in various divisions such as the Paralon Division, the National Division which is divided into several classes, and the Barebow Division.
The East Java Governor’s Cup II event is one of the prestigious sports competitions in Indonesia which is held every year. This competition aims to improve the quality of young athletes. It is hoped that UB archery team’s achievements can motivate more students to get involved in sports activities and bring the university’s good name to various other championships.
