
Universitas Brawijaya (UB) launches Virtual Innovation Expo 2021. This launching was held in coinciding with the 58th Anniversary of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Open Meeting which was held online on Tuesday (5/1/2021).
UB Virtual Innovation Expo is an exhibition that displays the results and products of innovation by all UB academicians, and is the first virtual innovation exhibition held by educational institutions in Malang.
By using the display of Samantha Krida building venue, this expo displays innovative products which are summarized into nine categories in line with UB’s Research Master Plan, which are Social, Humanities, Good Governance and Cultural Arts; Renewable energy; Creative Economy and Tourism; Transportation; Tourism; Food Resilience and Independence; Health, Nutrition, Medicine, and Herbal Medicine; Disaster and the Environment; and Agroforestry.
Besides innovation products, this expo also displays profile videos of all faculties in UB which can be accessed virtually by visitors.
UB Virtual Innovation Expo is open to the public and can be accessed anywhere and anytime throughout 2021 through the link expo2020.ub.ac.id. Visitors can also download an innovation product catalog that is equipped with inventor contact.
The Chief Executive of 58th UB Anniversary, Dr. drg. Nur Permatasari., MS conveyed that besides the main event of the Open Meeting which presented President Jokowi, Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim, as well as UB Virtual Innovation Expo launching, the celebration activity was also connected with several other activities.
With the theme “UB with a Tough Reputation to Build the Country”, a series of Anniversary activities consist of international seminars, community service, election of Putra Putri Brawijaya as UB ambassadors in national and international levels, virtual short video competitions at the national level, tabligh akbar, donation for orphans, as well as a virtual alumni gathering.
