Blitar, August 3, 2024 – A total of 20 participants took part in a socialization event aimed at forming production and marketing institutions to achieve entrepreneurial resilience in Blitar Regency. This activity is part of the Independent Community Service program, which aims to provide information and act as a mediator between stakeholders, including companies, government, universities, and legal institutions, and farmers. The goal is to assist farmers in accessing capital, technology, information, market analysis, as well as business policies and legalities.
The primary objective of this community service is to create farmers who are resilient to business changes. By developing the ability to overcome difficulties, becoming more adaptive and innovative, farmers are expected to enhance their entrepreneurial orientation, particularly in risk-taking. Additionally, farmers are expected to achieve better financial stability, possess the flexibility to build networks and external support, and improve planning and risk management skills during periods of over-supply and other business environment uncertainties.
“The development of production and marketing institutions for layer chicken eggs in Blitar Regency is crucial to create farmers who are more resilient to business changes, more adaptive, and innovative,” said Mr. Zein, the leader of Mitra Satwa PS.
This community service activity is led by Dr. Jaisy Aghniarahim Putritamara, S.Pt., MP, with members Prof. Ir. Hari Dwi Utami, MS. M.Appl., Sc. PhD. IPM. ASEAN. Eng, Awang Tri Satria, S.Pt., ME, and Tina Sri Purwanti, SP., MP., M.Sc., PhD. They served as speakers in this activity, focusing on the production and marketing institutions for layer chicken eggs in the business development center in East Java.
The goal of this service is to increase the literacy of small-scale farmers regarding the production and marketing institutions for layer chicken eggs and their derivative products. With the formation of these institutions, it is hoped that farmers can enhance their economic scale, become more competitive amid changing consumer preferences for organic and omega eggs, and most importantly, reduce the risk of over-supply, which is prone to occur in the layer business in developing countries like Indonesia. mt
